Inspired by the German sleighs made for the Santa Candy Containers and Belsnickles of the 1800's, I have designed this collection of sleighs for all those who love both antique and new Christmas. They are perfect to use along side your own Santa, Belsnickle or Krampus OR you can use them as a vehicle to display part of your Christmas collection. $ 150.00 I will be making these as "Special Order" pieces. Which means that each sleigh is handmade and hand finished making it a unique piece but they are not one-of-a-kind. There is also the option to have your sled mounted onto a platform with wheels much like the antique German toys. These platforms are also handmade and hand finished and feature hand cast lead wheels just like the wheels used on the antique toys. They are painted and then dusted with vintage mica "snow". The Small Sleigh is finished with shades of green with an accent of that wonderful old German red/orange that you find on many antique pieces. There are also small metal holders for the reins. You can use the small platform to mount the sleigh or, if desired, you could have this sled mounted on the medium platform leaving room for one of Santa's reindeer or perhaps a bear, pig, or even a moose to pull Santa's sleigh. There is an additional charge of $36.00 for the small platform (shown) OR $50.00 for the medium platform (24"l x 8"w). |
