This piece was commissioned as a Christmas gift for a gentleman who loves "The Polar Express". The piece is made from a vintage cigar box with a sliding lid. The exterior features the train engine on the lid and the word "BELIEVE" wrapping around the sides. A paper banner is attached to the smoke stack which reads "The bell still rings for those who truly...". Inside there are two compartments. The red and white striped area hold an antique brass sleigh bell and a note from S. Claus. The smaller area holds the train ticket with a bit of vintage mica "snow". $ 475.00 (Sold) Approximately 60 hand-cut and carved pieces of wood were used in creating this one-of-a-kind work of art. |
