This is the first in a continuing series of courting mirrors I plan to make throughout the years. The Single Heart is made with five layers of chip-carved wood. A vintage pocket/purse mirror was used for this piece. The tip of the heart is accented with a Victorian Shell carved button. There is a leather loop on the back which can be used to hang this piece on the wall. It is stained and then a series of red washes were applied. $ 295.00 (SOLD) Approximately 9 hand-cut and carved pieces of wood were used in creating this one-of-a-kind work of art. |
